Job Description
As a Security Officer Unarmed Patrol Customer Care in Miami, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer supporting a government location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and provide professional customer service and communication. You will help create a welcoming environment for employees and visitors while reporting concerns and supporting site operations. - Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and members of the public at a government location by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, access protocols, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, grounds, parking areas, entry points, and perimeter areas to help identify and report unusual activity, hazards, or policy concerns.
- Monitor access points and verify authorized entry in accordance with established procedures; direct visitors and communicate site requirements professionally.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate personnel and follow established reporting procedures.
- Prepare accurate activity logs, incident reports, and patrol documentation while maintaining professional communication with site personnel and the public.
Minimum Requirements:
- Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED, as required by the client.
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- Possess a DD214 with an honorable discharge, an associate degree, 60 college credits, a police academy certificate, or a corrections academy certificate.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
